Western Living Concepts (an affliate of The Danco Group of Companies) has a goal to create an environment that promotes a better quality of life for Seniors and preserves their dignity, independence and personal choice.
In 1998, Timber Ridge Eureka opened, providing the frst state-of-the-art assisted living facility in Humboldt County. The success of this facility and geographic needs led to the development of an additional facility in McKinleyville, 15 miles north of Eureka.
Project Highlights
This new Timber Ridge facility features comfortable studio and one-bedroom apartments. All rooms are private with individual heating and cooling thermostats, cable hookups, telephon jacks and spacious closets. Each room was designed to meet stringent American Hospital Association (AHA) Standards. The bathrooms are large and are equipped with modern safety devices. The facility also features a restaurant-style resident dining room and a separate Country Kitchen that is available for residents use. Other community areas include a sheltered patio and fireside lounge.

This assisted living project was the culmination of our growth dreams for approximately five years. Danco participated in finding the appropriate property, obtaining the market study, designing the facility, the HUD financial piece, and finally the actual construction. The superintendent, the project manager, and all Danco employees participated in a group effort that allowed the completion of Timber Ridge McKinleyville, the sister property to Timber Ridge Eureka.
