DANCO’s Design/Build team was thrilled to have the opportunity to work with local jewelry-design company Holly Yashi to expand their light manufacturing facility and offices in Arcata, CA. DANCO tackled the challenge of taking Holly Yashi’s existing metal building and transforming it into a •exible space with the ability to adjust as the needs for additional of•ces and added light manufacturing production areas evolve.

Project Highlights
The result was an attractive, airy, open space with many windows to let light in. DANCO’s team was also able to establish consistency with the current style of the building, yet upgrade the exterior materials with new finishes. Housing a pool table and table tennis for employee use, a second floor loft was also created to house executive offices with the potential for space expansion in the future. Attention to detail in landscaping features with a partial parking lot, created with a turf/grass surface instead of the traditional asphalt, are additional features unique to this project.
